Tahini & Yoghurt Sauce

Learning how to make Tahini Sauce has been slightly revelatory.... it is much easier than I imagined, and it goes with a lot of different kinds of food. If you are trying to reduce your cholesterol levels - this is a great ingredient; the sesame seeds in it are almost nauseatingly healthy and very high in Omega 3 and 6. Try it with Flatbread and Falafel - or with a piece of White Fish and some Saffon Rice; is delicious.

Ingredients

  • Light Tahini
  • 0% Greek Yoghurt
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Garlic
  • Maldon Salt
  • Lemon Juice
  • Herbs to serve

In a bowl – whisk together:

2 large tablespoon Tahini, 3 large tablespoons Greek Yoghurt, a really, really good drizzle Olive Oil, juice of a Lemon, tablespoon or two of Water, some Salt and a crushed Clove Garlic

If it is too thick – you can add a little water

Taste it – you might want more Lemon, Salt or Olive Oil

Serve in a bowl, with extra Olive Oil drizzled over it and some fresh herbs (mint, dill, chives, coriander – they all work!)

Delicious with: fish, steaks, grilled chicken, BBQ or baked vegetables, flatbread, beans (fried or boiled), pilav rice, steamed veg… the list goes on!
